Trumpets on The Other Side

John 11:25-26 (New King James Version from www.biblegateway.com)
"25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”"

Whatever is one’s view of death, death will come to each person. Some people refuse to face death realistically. There are basically two different views of death. First one asserts that death is the end. This view tells us that growth, progress and evolution make no sense. Even past, present and future make no sense. The second view of death asserts that death is a means to life. For those with Christian faith, death is no longer a leap in the darkness, but a means for life. God will be there. Christ will be there. God’s people will be there.
“May the triumph and hope of Easter strike deeply into the live of the human family to assure us of the higher glory which awaits those whose trust is in him who said, “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25a)”.- Thomas P. Slavens
